GDG DevFest are a large scale events community-driven, held annually worldwide. Each event is organized by a local community of developers, based on the interests of the community, draw up its agenda and content. The topic of DevFest is usually related to Google products. Each Google Dev Fest is unique, however all are powered by the belief that when developers come together to exchange ideas, amazing things can happen.
Lunacloud will provide its cloud infrastructure free of charge, to all participants in this event and will also give an awesome offer at the end of the event.
The subject of the event content mainly revolves around technologies developed by Google, although not exclusively.
For the next DevFest Madrid the planned subjects are:
- Android devices from different aspects of the platform, as it could be programming, security, customization, to the use of new Android devices, such as Google Glasses and other wearables.
- Web programming, collecting issues using HTML5, different libraries or use as Polymer or Angular and various multimedia capabilities markup, reaching the instrumentation service and back-end servers using cloud platforms or services.
The DevFest Madrid 2014 will be held at the headquarters of AJE Madrid (aka GarAJE), an enabling place for big ideas and collaborations arise, in an environment that represents the fusion of the genuine Madrid and the modern Madrid.
The venue is close to Prosperidad metro station (line 4), about 30 minutes by public transport of Atocha train station, 33 minutes from Chamartin train station and 40 minutes by public transport from Barajas Airport.
